MORGAN DIVISION RULES

This system is designed to promote the Morgan Horse and to encourage and unite the youth of the club in enthusiastic and sportsmanlike competition.

Divisions are open to Registered Purebred Morgans only.

Points are to count from any youth Morgan class within the boundaries of the Ontario Morgan Horse Club in which the horse used is a Morgan to a total of 10 shows.

The points shall be credited to the youth in equitation and showmanship divisions, thus allowing more than one horse to be used in those divisions. The points will be credited to the horse in the performance divisions, thus allowing more than one rider to exhibit the horse.

The fee shall be $10.00 per youth per year, payable when points are submitted to the recorder.

Participants must be members of the OMHC either as individual youth members or part of a family membership. The membership must be paid by April 30th of the competitive year, for the points to count for the full year. Points may be accumulated from a later date provided a membership fee is paid prior to the first points tabulated.

Points are to be scored between December 1st and November 30th. All forms must be postmarked or in the recorder's possession no later than midnight, December 5th. There will be absolutely no extension of this period. Point submission is the responsibility of the youth. A separate form should be submitted for each horse shown.

The club will not be responsible for the loss of forms in the mail and/or calculations made incorrectly, but every attempt will be made to see that no errors occur. Protests must be made in writing to the youth executive with the final decision resting with the youth executive.

Six awards will be presented in each division, however all participants will receive some form of recognition. The divisions are as follows:

Showmanship
Saddle Seat Equitation
Hunt Seat Equitation
Western Equitation
Beginner Equitation (consists of all Walk-trot placings)
English Pleasure
Western Pleasure
Hunter Pleasure
Pleasure Driving ( consists of open and morgan placings))

In the event of a combined class, placing will remain as is, but will count in your respective division.

Leadline placings will not count towards year end awards.

In the event of the tie, the award shall be given to both entries.

Presentation of the awards will be made at the Annual Club meeting.

All Morgans must be registered with the Canadian Morgan Horse Association or if under one year of age must be eligible for registration.

The horse show point schedule will follow.

Recording forms must be sent to the Youth High Point Recorder.

All youth members of the OMHC are earnestly encouraged to participate in this program which has been instigated on their behalf. In the event that more forms are required, use ordinary papers and keep the same format.
